Is the work "shift work"? Shift work is work that changes or could be cancelled due to things such as the weather, customer numbers

If there is shift work, do you ever cancel a shift?

Are their specific "tools of the trade"? For example hairdressers need to supply their own scissors

If yes to the last question, what are the tools of the trade that the employee would need to supply?

What are you rest break and meal times

Do employees need to take any of their breaks between certain times, ie should lunch be taken between 12 and 2pm

Do you offer any additional leave entitlements - extra annual or sick leave, paid birthday leave etc

Do you provide a uniform that needs to be returned at the end of employment?

Will employees have access to internet/emails?

Do you have CCTV operating in your business?

Would you like a non-solicitation clause? This is where the employee cannot approach your clients if they plan to leave or once they leave for a period of time

If this is for a senior management position - would you like a restraint of trade clause? Where the employee cannot work for a competitor for a period of time?

Do employees use a company vehicle and would you like a vehicle policy?

Will any employees have personal use of a vehicle? And would you like this in the contract?
